We have football stories in 2 top positions. I have looked at Google trends for days and Football stories are always in the top results. I am sure this will change to Basketball during Basketball season. If you change Google trends to other countries soccer (football for them) trends just as heavily if not more.
So how can you profit from these trends? Well, I had a crazy idea. There is a software called Articlevideorobot. This software take articles and turns them into videos (and slideshow productions.) So you just put the website address of the article into Article Video Robot and it will turn the article into a video.
So here is my crazy idea:
1. Go to Google Trends and look for the most popular trending sports stories of the day.
2. Search for those articles on Google.
3. Use Articlvideorobot to turn the articles into videos.
4. Create a YouTube channel just for your sports videos.
5. Upload the videos to YouTube.
6. Include affiliate links to sports related gambling products (legal ones) at the top of the description, in an annotation in the video itself.
7. Do this everyday en masse and watch those passive affiliate commissions roll in!
So how can you just copy somebody’s article? Isn’t that plagiarism? Yes, it is! But there is a way to legally plagiarize articles called “Fair Use”
Basically the “Fair Use” rule allows you to portion a portion of an article for your publication as long as you give credit and a link back to the original article. Sites like Huffington Post and Mashable do this all the time. Actually this is the norm in the news business. Most news outlets are news aggregators or as I like to call them “News Regurgitators.” There is hardly an original thought on a news site.
Well, if you can’t beat them join them! C’mon and get yours!
So you can take the most popular trending articles on sports, turn them into videos and then upload them to YouTube with your affiliate links completely legally!
Best practices would indicate that you should only include a portion of the article not the whole article. This actually works out in your favor. If you turned the whole article into a video it could turn into a long video. You can tell people in the video (you just type it in) that for the rest of the article they can just click the link in the description below.
Best practices for fair use would also dictate that you include a link to the full article with credit. No problem. You can simply include the link along with your related affiliate offer pitch in the description of the video.
If you want to get fancy you can use a wordpress plugin called Jack Jacker Gold to turn all or some of the links in the original article to your affiliate website. You can even use Jack Jacker Gold to put your autoresponder pop up code on the original article site. See here to learn exactly how Jack Jacker Gold works.
This is a little grey hat. Really you should put the original link to the story in your article. I think it is a better long term strategy but it is fun to look at the possibilities.
Here is a video which shows me taking an article from the Denver Post about “New England Patriots, Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos??” and turning it into a video with Article Video Robot.
Here is what the final Article Video Robot looks like on YouTube
Now what affiliate programs do you promote? You can quite a choice. You can promote gambling education products or products which teach people how to gamble on sports. You see teaching people to bet on sports is perfectly legal. However, actually offering gambling services is another matter. The legality depends on who and where you are and I am not an expert in this area.
Here are 3 Sports Betting Education Programs That You Can Promote.

You can also promote fantasy sports programs. “A fantasy sport (also known less commonly as rotisserie or roto) is a game where participants assemble imaginary or virtual teams of real players of a professional sport. These teams compete based on the statistical performance of those players’ players in actual games.”
Fantasy sports are a multi-billion industry.
The most popular fantasy sports affiliate programs are:
Draft Kings.
Stars Drafts
The federal government does not consider fantasy sports to be gambling but a game of skill. Here is an article on the legalities of fantasy sports.
If you want, depending on where you are and the associated legalities you can actually promote real sports betting online casinos. Here is an article with reviews of the various sports book sports betting affiliate programs.
I would suggest experimenting with various affiliate programs to see which works best. You can even create your own email newsletter and or website regarding about sports. But an easy way to get starting both capitalizing on trends and on getting out tons of trending content is using Article Video Robot to promote sports betting programs.
