After a career as a professional musician and band leader in the Miami South Florida Area I decided to see if I could make some money with this new internet thing. After years of trial and error I started to get the hang of it and now I am completely financially independent because of my various online businesses. The goal of this blog is to chronicle my continued marketing experiences. I focus on real examples of what works and what does not work. Google does not give us a recipe for getting our sites ranked. We have to use our own experiences to see what actually works rather than theory. I hope you enjoy the blog. Please let us know what you think in the comments area. We appreciate your feedback.

How To Use Google Base To Get Free Advertising

Thanks to David Bowie who turned me on to Google Base as a free advertising method in a post on The Free Ad Forum. This is basically Google’s beta version of Craig’s List. You can advertise pretty much anything legal for free. You do not even have to have a website. You do have to have a price for your product or service though. If you do not put anything or you put 0 for the price your ad will be “dissaproved.” In Google’s usual cyptic style they do not tell you why! LOL! Just a heads up on that one. Here is the video showing exactly how to set up a simple ad on Google Base. Let me know your comments. Also, what is cool is that you can track your ads impressions and clicks just like Adwords and it is free! The catch is your ad only lasts 30 days at which time you can renew it for free.
