How To Get More Facebook Fans And Traffic To Your Blog At The Same Time

I just cancelled my Unique Article Wizard account. The system really works to get backlinks but it is very time consuming and tedious having to re-write each article 3 times. With the recent Google Panda update placing your articles on hundreds of so/so quality blogs is a bit of a marginal technique. I have decided instead to spend my time writing more original quality articles on my own blog and trying to get them indexed in other ways. I am going for the long term benefits of quality seo.

I was experimenting with using Facebook to get some attention to my blog posts and I discovered a very effective marketing technique. I write an original, quality (I hope so!) article and post it on my blog. The article is not a PLR (private label rights) article, it is not machine spun version of some other article it is a real article that I wrote out of my own little brain.

1. Write A Completely Original Articles On Your Topic And Post It To Your Blog. No PLR Or Spun Articles!

Next, I share the article on my Facebook page. Then I do a search for Facebook Fanpages that deal with the same subject as my blog post. I then post a message on their fanpage inviting them to share or tag articles on their topic on my fanpage. I have over 5300 fans interested in marketing so this is a pretty good proposition for them. Even more important I am contacting people who specifically are interested in the subject I just wrote an article about.

I then share a link to my article on their fanpage which is exactly about their subject. In the text describing the link on Facebook I also say that I would be open to publishing their original articles about their subject on my blog and here is an example of the type of articles I publish.
2. Find Facebook Fanpages Which Specifically Are About The Topic Of Your Blog Post

This second step is a little aggressive because technically I have not yet waited for their response to my proposition. However, my responses have been very, very positive. You see I am not just blatantly posting a link on their page. I am posting an article which is original, quality and exactly about their subject. I just wrote an article on mobile local marketing. I looked for pages, even small ones, specifically about this topic. My content related exactly to their page. More importantly, I am offering them value. I am offering to let them post or tag articles on my fanpage of 5300 niche focused fans, plus I am offering to publish their articles on my blog which is pretty busy at Alexa 15k and PR4-5 ranking.

Another important point is that I am not just copy and pasting my message. I write them a personal note. I use their name. I like some of their posts. I do not just hit and run. I am trying to develop a relationship with somebody who shares the same interest as I do.

3. Post A Message On The Fanpage Inviting The Owner To Tag/Post His Quality Articles On Your Fanpage

After just a little testing with this technique the number of fans and likes on my posts on my own page have increasing substantially. Also the interaction has been greater on my page which gets my posts more views.

Another advantage is that I am now opening a new tagging pipeline for future posts. Tagging on Facebook allows you to sends a notice of your post not only to the person who owns the page you tagged but to all of their fans as well. So, with their permission, you are targeting the fans of pages you like. This is quite some leverage. Plus these fans are “real” fans. They are specifically interested in your topic.

I have tried this technique on a page which is not in internet marketing niche and it even works better.

On my next attempt I am going to divide this technique into a two step process. I am just going to at first introduce myself and offer to let them post/tag articles on my fanpage. I just want to send them a personal note opening the relationship. Then when I write my next post I will tag them in the post. I am finding that I am getting about 5 more fans per page I contact this way.

Plus the response is very positive because I am not just posting my advertising I am sending them a personal note offering them value first. Imagine if you just you introduced yourself this way to 100 targeted fanpages per day? Over time you would build up a huge niche focused fan base that you could send to your blog and/or offers.

Facebook is an excellent traffic source is used properly. You can really build a network of highly targeted fans that you can network with over and over. I would love to hear your comments. Of course, if you like this post please share it on Facebook. Thank you, Matthew Meyer.
