There are 1000’s of profitable local businesses around the world that all want more exposure online but have neither the time or inclination to do the work themselves.
If you are willing to learn the basics of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and are willing to get your hustle on there are 1000’s of potential clients who are willing to spend big money for you to help them get more exposure in the search engines and in social media.
There are many high ticket niches will gladly pay handsomely for your SEO services if you can deliver. The reason is that many of these businesses can make $1000-$100,000 per sale.
For example one of the most competitive niches is the Personal Injury Attorney niche. You probably see their ads everywhere on billboards if you drive anywhere in the United States. The reason these personal injury lawyers are willing to spend so much money on advertising is that one client can net them $100,000 or more.
Niches, like personal injury attorneys are paying up to $200. per click for Advertising with Google Adwords. That is right. They are paying $200. just for somebody to click on their paid ad on Google! There is no guarantee that the prospect will be a good prospect.
Indeed, I have spoken with personal injury attorneys and they confirm many of these prospects are not even serious. So they pay $200 for nothing! These unhappy customers of Google are prime prospects for your local SEO services.
If you can convince them that you can get permanent quality search engine traffic for less they will not have a problem paying you $500-$5000. per month for SEO services if you deliver.
There are many other high ticket niches. Below are just a few of them to consider:
The key point to look for is how much they make per client. If they can make $10,000 per client or even $1000. per client justifying your advertising costs in not much of a stretch.
They typical breast implant surgery costs between $5000-$10,000 per surgery. A plastic surgery center could pay you $1000. per month for one year and make their investment back in just 1 or 2 clients.
Look at which businesses are advertising heavily in your area. Chances are they are good prospects for your services.
Selling Local SEO services is not for everybody. This is not a get rich quick scheme. This is a real business and you need provide real customer service.
Here are some ideas for getting started with selling Local SEO services. The key is to get going and not to worry about being perfect at first you will learn as you go. You can overcome your imperfections by over delivering for your clients. This will have the added benefit of giving you more practice and experience.

The above list of local seo services is completely arbitrary based on what I have found is most helpful for local seo clients. However, most SEO experts could come up with almost unlimited different packages.
The idea is to have a package to propose to your client. This is a just a base. You can add and subtract services as you find out what is working and what is not working for the client.
Keep in mind the clients are not SEO geeks. They just want traffic and sales for their business. Always explain your services in laymen’s terms not in geek terms. Endless graphs and reports will just confuse them. Get them ranked and get them results!
All local businesses must have a Google My Business Page set up and optimized. Here is a photo of one of my local SEO clients.
When you when type into Google “mold testing Rockville Maryland” this very prominent 5 star listing appears at the very top of the search engines. You must make sure your customer has a Google My Business Page set up. You can set up the Google My Business Page for him and optimize it with photos, blog post and all his local keywords.
The client, however, will receive a post card from Google with a code on it. They will have to tell you the code and then you can confirm the Google My Business Page.
This is the page where clients can leave the all important reviews for the customer’s business. I suggest setting up a separate gmail account for the customer to set up the Google My Business Page.
Google will send very interesting progress reports to this email. You can forward these to your client to show proof of progress.
Most customers are very hands off. That is why they hired you. Do not expect them to get involved with the techy stuff . Try to handle as much of this as possible yourself.
Google My Business pages get ranked right at the top of Google fast for local businesses. Getting this page set up is a priority for your customer.

Google loves YouTube! YouTube videos get ranked quickly in Google and on YouTube which itself is the 2nd most popular search engine after Google. You need to set up a dedicated YouTube account for your customer.
Google likes themed YouTube accounts. You cannot set up one YouTube account and use this for all your customers unless they all are in the same niche.
Make the name of the YouTube account reflects the customer’s brand. You will also need to phone confirm the YouTube account.

We are going to be submitting each video to 40+ social media accounts. In order to do this you need to create and set up social media accounts that are unique and branded for the client. Again, you must put themed content on each account.
You cannot put attorney videos on the same accounts as plastic surgery videos. Google likes themed content. You may even lose you social media account by putting unrelated content over and over on your channel.

Google loves unique, original, themed content. Often Google will rank videos higher if they are embedded on blogs. You can create the blog on the customer’s domain if they allow you. But you can also purchase a domain name based on their brand and keywords and create and brand new blog just for them.

You can place the original blog posts and embed the YouTube videos on this blog. This will help your customer rank higher and higher in Google. The more high quality content you submit for them the more rankings they will have in Google, Bing and Yahoo.
Everything we have discussed above is just to get the customer set up. Most of the work is a one time deal. But for the customer to get results you need to create, and submit unique, optimized content every month. Below is a sample monthly plan that you can use or modify as you see fit.

So you are not Martin Scorsese. So how can you make original videos for you client and how to you find the material. I suggest making Slide Show videos. Almost anybody can make Slide Show videos quickly and easily. You can use a service like Animoto to create your videos. They have a free version you can try out.
As for content I suggest looking at the FAQ sections of your client and of his competition. For example if you wanted Frequently Asked Questions about Personal injury attorneys just type into Google “FAQ personal injury attorneys Florida, Texas etc…“
Google will give you lots of frequently asked questions and answers that you can use to create videos for the customer. You can also look for material on the customer’s website such as reviews and blog posts that they may already have.

Here is a tip. Remember to create play lists around your customer keywords on YouTube. Play lists get ranked quickly, as well, in Google and on YouTube. Here is the play list I created for the client based on the keywords “Asbestos Testing Alexandria Virginia.”
Google My Business if the most important local business directory but there are 100’s of others like Yelp and Yellow Pages. You need to get your client in as many as possible.
You can submit his business to 20 new directories each month. You can outsource this work to places like Fiverr.
These listings are called citations. The more citations you have the higher your customer ranks generally.
Submissions of Each Keyword Optimized Video to 40 Video Hosting and Social Media Sites- YouTube is not the only video hosting site and social media site where you can upload you video. You can submit your video to many others using variations on your titles to get even more rankings for your customer.
Here is somebody who will submit your video for you.
You can get ideas for the blog posts from the FAQ of your customer’s website and from the FAQ of your customer’s competitors. It is not a bad idea to check out your customer’s competitors and see what they are writing about.
You can write something similar in your own words. You can also outsource some the work on places like Freelancer.com and Fiverr if you like.

To get started I suggest asking everybody you know if THEY know anybody who has a business and is looking for more exposure for their business online. This way everybody you know can be promoters for your service. You can get some business cards made up and tell everybody what you do. If you want you can even cold call businesses and let them know what you do.
If you want to target one big customer you can make a free slide show video for him on YouTube of all his customer’s positive reviews. Then tell them you can make videos like this every month for them and get them ranked on Google and YouTube.
The most important thing to remember when you are starting is to say YES to EVERYBODY! Does the customer just want one video per month? Fine say yes. Do not stay married to your package. The package is just a starting point.
Then over deliver for your customers.
Once you have really nailed one niche you can approach other customers in different local areas but in the same niche. Now you can offer proof of results in that exact industry. This is a very powerful selling point. But all this takes a lot of work! And some chutzpah!
Everything I have explained above is just an outline. Each of the subjects I have discussed can be entire, detailed articles on their own. I just wanted to give you an idea of what is possible. You will really learn if you just get started. Do not be afraid to learn by messing up. Everybody does. You will learn as you go and if you never go you will never learn.
