The term marketing mix first used in an article written by Neil Borden called “The Concept of the Marketing Mix.” He started the idea about the term after he heardit used by James Culliton, who in 1948 said that the role of the marketing manager was a mixer of ingredients.
But what is the marketing mix and what are the four Ps? Well, an accurate marketing mix helps your product or brand to accomplish the highest number of sales and most recognition that it possibly can. Just like having a balanced exercise routine helps your body to stay in shape, having a balanced marketing mix assists to make your product or brand as lucrative as possible. The four Ps that make up the marketing mix are: place, price, product, and promotion.
Having a good grasp of the four Ps can help you become a better marketer. Once you have these four aspects in balance, you should see an increase in profits and sales. It really does not matter what your product it; the four Ps will help you to market it.
